1980s Toyota pickup — restoration

The brief

Decades of farm and site work had left rust in the load bed, tired panels and a worn interior.

The owner wanted a full restoration, but funded in stages rather than all at once.

What we did

• Full strip-down and photographic condition survey
• Rusted bed and sill sections cut out, with new metal fabricated
• Panels straightened, primed and sealed
• Full body respray in a period-appropriate solid colour
• Mechanical overhaul: servicing, brakes and drivetrain checks
• Reassembly, trim work and road testing

The result

A restored pickup that still works for a living — solid metal, straight panels and a finish that has held up.
